  The Department of Administrative Services is Georgia state government's business solutions provider. DOAS' product and service offerings encompass a broad spectrum that includes risk management services, purchasing services, fleet management, and surplus property.

Under the leadership of Commissioner Sid Johnson, DOAS strives to meet the needs of its customers in a rapidly changing state government. PDF Icon DOAS' vision is to be Customer focused, Performance driven.

DOAS obtains its products and services through partnerships with a diverse group of private sector businesses, while working to ensure all vendors have equal access to contract opportunities. Volume buying and competitive bidding procedures result in significant cost savings. These savings enable state government to operate cost-effectively by reducing the expense of providing services to the citizens of Georgia.

The Georgia Department of Administrative Services is organized into divisions that specialize in efficient services for government offices and the general public.

State Human Resources Administration
  The State Human Resources Administration Division (HRA) provides expertise in HR policy and practices to help agencies attract, develop and retain a high performing workforce and enhance operational performance. Core services include administration of the state flexible benefits program, development of fair and consistent compensation practices, guidance in the state performance management process, compliance with the State Personnel Board rules and policies, and additional resources and tools for workforce development. HRA helps state agencies drive employee performance to increase workforce productivity.

  Risk Management Services (RMS) serves Georgia state agencies and employees by providing insurance coverage, managing and administering claims to ensure appropriate resolution, cost-effectiveness, identifying loss exposures, and promoting loss control.

  DOAS State Purchasing Division (SPD) promotes equal access and competition among suppliers to ensure that best value, high-quality goods and services are available to state and local governments.   The Surplus Property Division is responsible for the redistribution and disposal of state personal property and serves as the State Agency for Surplus Property (SASP) for the federal personal property disposal programs.

Fleet Management
 

The Office of Fleet Management was created by Executive Order on June 10, 2002 and became operational on July 1, 2002. It centralizes responsibility for oversight and guidance for fleet management functions and through policies and procedures manages the state's fleet from initial acquisition through disposal.
