She also served as senior policy adviser for budget and government affairs at the Georgia Student Finance Commission and deputy superintendent for Race to the Top implementation. Jannine Miller is the Executive Director of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority. Miller leads a team of transportation and administrative professionals in operating the Xpress commuter bus service and ensuring short-range transportation infrastructure plans in metro Atlanta provide a return-on-investment for taxpayer dollars. Prior to her appointment to GRTA, Miller was the transportation policy advisor to Governor Sonny Perdue. She also served as a policy and programs consultant for the State Road and Tollway Authority, a transportation finance specialist with a national consulting firm, a senior transportation planner with the Atlanta Regional Commission and a budget and policy analyst for the Office of Planning and Budget. Ms. Miller earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from Georgia State University and is a member of the Transportation Research Board's Taxation and Finance Committee. |
