  Surplus - Georgia Small Business
  While not a primary mission of the Surplus Property, supporting Georgia's Small Business development is good for everyone. State surplus is restricted to non-profit businesses, however, the Surplus Property partners with the federal Small Business Administration (SBA) to make federal surplus available to participants in the 8a Program.

The state of Georgia conducts all sales of surplus personal property to the public through public internet sales providers.

Eligibility Process
  Small businesses that participate in the SBA assistance program (classified as 8(a) contractors) may be eligible to obtain federal surplus (not state) property from the Surplus Property. The SBA is responsible for making eligibility determination for these companies based on the applicant's business plan. Service charges and restrictions apply for all property received. All Georgia small businesses that would like to participate in the Small Business 8(a) Program should.
