PURCHASING TOOLS and process improvement

The State Purchasing Division manages two electronic bidding systems, Team Georgia Marketplace™ and the Georgia Procurement Registry. Other tools available for the procurement professional enable them to comply with State procurement laws and administrative rules, manage their spend data, and monitor day-to-day operations.


Electronic tools enable State procurement professionals to post solicitations (e.g. Requests for Quotes, Requests for Proposals) and award contracts as well as track spend data. Through Team Georgia Marketplace™ and the Georgia Procurement Registry, the State has access to a broad base of suppliers, including large and small businesses, as well as local, State, regional, and national suppliers. The competitive bid process saves time and money, ensuring that the State obtains the best pricing from a wide variety of suppliers. ​To find additional information on these tools, see below.
