Small Business Resources
There is a network of programs that exist within the state that offer registered companies greater exposure to state and local officials as well as private sector suppliers in an effort to increase subcontracting opportunities for these companies.
Small Business Development Center: The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides tools, training and resources to help small businesses grow and succeed.
The SBDC has 17 offices across Georgia to serve the needs of the state's business community. The Centers are funded in part by the Small Business Administration.
Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center: The Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center (GTPAC) operates under a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). GTPAC is part of the Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI2) of Georgia Tech and assists Georgia businesses identify, compete for, and win government contracts.
Small Business Administration/SCORE: SCORE is a resource partner with the Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA administers a Congressional grant which provides SCORE with funding. SCORE volunteers provide small business mentoring and training to entrepreneurs through SBA offices.
Georgia Department of Economic Development, Entrepreneur and Small Business Office: Georgia provides resources to small businesses and makes it easy for business owners get the help they need.
