The attire is business casual for the conference.
The average temperatures are in the 70s during the day and 50s in the evening. A light jacket or sweater is recommended.
There will be signs directing you to the Attendee Registration Areas in the Jekyll Island Convention Center. On-site check-in is from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023 and from 8:00 – 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Lunch will be served following the Opening Session on Tuesday. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at the conference center on Wednesday and Thursday.
There will be a light hors d'oeuvres reception on Wednesday afternoon. There are no dinners provided as part of the conference.
Parking at the Conference Center is free. There is a $8 fee to access Jekyll Island, and if you do not leave the island you do not incur additional fees. However, if you leave the Island, you will need to pay $8 when you return to the Island.
We reserved blocks of rooms at several hotels, however, you may stay at any of the hotels listed, or alternate hotels on the Island, provided it follows State Accounting Office (SAO) travel guidelines.
Alternatively, you may want to stay on St. Simon's Island which is about a 30-minute drive from the Conference Center.
You will receive instructions with log in information for the Attendee APP with your registration confirmation.
Yes, the safety and wellbeing of all conference participants and staff is our priority, and we are implementing CDC, state and local public health, and convention center guidelines as part of our event planning process. There are multiple hand sanitizer stations throughout the convention space; hand sanitizers will be provided to all attendees with their conference materials. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own KN95 masks and follow CDC protocols for safety. Should you feel sick while attending the conference, please get tested prior to joining any session or activity so that we can ensure the safety of all.

Hotel FAQs
The rates provided are reflective of one-two persons per room. There are additional charges for rooms with three or four occupants. Once all pre-reserved rooms are booked, any additional rooms may be at prevailing rates.
Please follow the instructions listed on the Hotels page for each hotel.
You may contact the hotel to arrange for direct bill no later than 30 days prior to the conference date. There are additional reviews and approvals required; a direct bill option is not guaranteed.
Most hotels will honor the conference rate for the weekend before and the weekend after the conference if rooms are available. Please contact the hotel directly to inquire. Pre-booked rooms (prior to registration go-live will not be adjusted to conference rates. The rate that was used to book the room will remain in place.
Shared shuttle buses (with other hotel guests) are available from the Westin, the Hampton Inn, Jekyll Island Club, and the Residence Inn. These shuttles are first come first serve basis and should not be relied on as principal mode of transportation back and forth.

You will have a barcode on your badge that will be used to scan your attendance throughout the conference. This scanning will then be matched to sessions you attended and CEUs. Additional instructions will be provided in the opening session.
Within 90 days of the conference completion, attendee information will be uploaded into the Learning Management System (LMS). Attendees will also have the capability to print their training sessions and contact hours from the LMS.

Registration and Payment Information
GPC 2023 registration and payment information will be available on the conference website, beginning January 2023.
Yes, provided the payment has gone through the proper approval process.
Cancellations may be made by contacting Georgia Purchasing Conference at gpc.info@doas.ga.gov. The refund policy is as follows:
Prior to February 15, 2023, 75% of your registration may be refunded.
From February 16, 2023 through March 15, 2023, 50% of your registration may be refunded.
After March 15, 2023, no refunds will be processed.
Refunds of incorrect registrations for sponsored attendees are subject to a processing fee of 25%.
