Surplus Property COVID-19 Response

Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) offices, like many state government agencies' offices, are physically closed until further notice. However, the Surplus Property Division is fully staffed and operating normally to support your entities' surplus disposal or acquisition needs during the COVID-19 quarantine process.

We appreciate and share your safety concerns. If your facility is not allowing any public contact, we ask that you please suspend Surplus operations and not enter AssetWorks requests until normal operations resume.

Please notice that DOAS Surplus Property recently discontinued posting internet sales. This is not COVID-19 related, but was necessary to prepare for the implementation of the  marketplace facilitator law that is effective April 1, 2020. This law requires online vendors to collect and remit sales tax for any online transactions. To enable this process, Surplus Property cleared its current sales queues.  We plan to resume posting to GovDeals and Public Surplus in early April. Check back on this Surplus Property COVID-19 page for updates. We will keep you informed of any announcements for surplus property sales and removals.
