Workforce Strategies Initiative
This project supports workforce development strategies and career paths for key occupation areas in state government. The partnership is supported by the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget (OPB). It began in December 2022.
Partnering with the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE), the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), and the University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government, we are identifying strategies to boost the workforce pipeline and promote retention. Other goals:
- Target career paths that cross multiple agencies
- Bolster linked education and internship program
