A Proclamation

State Employee Recognition Week

WHEREAS, State of Georgia employees are dedicated public servants who strive to perform their jobs each day with professionalism to fulfill the missions and goals of Georgia's state government; and

WHEREAS Georgia's state employees make a significant contribution to the citizens they serve by providing efficient and effective services that protect public safety and health, promote education and economic growth, enhance local communities, care for the well-being of the less fortunate, enforce laws, build and maintain roads, license businesses and professionals, and preserve our natural, historical, and cultural resources; and

WHEREAS These employees are committed to the highest standard of ethics, performance, and customer service and exhibit their dedication every day, making every level of government more responsive and effective; and

WHEREAS State of Georgia employees are responsible stewards of taxpayer funds and support efforts to drive innovation, enhance set-vice delivery, and improve operations throughout state agencies while also demonstrating extraordinary leadership to citizens in every corner of the state; and

WHEREAS The State of Georgia extends its apprec1at1on to all state employees for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence in set-vice to our citizens. Millions of Georgians benefit from the set-vices provided each day by state government employees, many of whom make great personal sacrifices to respond to and meet the needs of Georgians; and

WHEREAS During State Employees Recognition Week, the State of Georgia recognizes the contributions of thousands of employees who give of themselves in set-vice to ow: state each day and thanks them for their dedication and hard work; now

THEREFORE I, Brain P. Kemp, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim May 4-10, 2025, as State Employee Recognition Week in Georgia.

In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 8th day of April in the year of our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-Five.
