It also allows you to save on taxes while you pay for your benefits. Your taxable income is reduced because certain Flexible Benefits plan options, i.e., dental, vision, accidental death and dismemberment, flexible spending accounts contributions and at your discretion, employee life insurance, are deducted on a pre-tax basis.
