On September 19, 2025, the Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) State Purchasing Division (SPD) Small Business and Supplier Diversity Program (SBSD) received the Rising Star Award at the 50th Annual Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC) Spirit of Alliance Awards ceremony. In attendance to receive the award was DOAS SPD SBSD Program Manager, Julian Bailey and Communications and Supplier Outreach Specialist III, Lanique Bradley.

This top honor presented at the annual GMSDC conference honors organizations that exemplify the values of leadership, partnership, and innovation that shape the future of Georgia’s business community. The Rising Star Award recognizes organizations whose supplier diversity program is under three years old and has shown significant impact on the growth of supplier diversity within their organization.

The DOAS SPD SBSD Program team was recognized for implementing and proactively advancing minority business enterprises within the agency. To date the SBSD Program has issued more than 600 certifications through the Georgia Small Business Certification Program. Their passion, hard work, and collaboration made this achievement possible.
