Tier One: Mandatory Statewide Contracts
When you need to purchase something and the goods or services are not exempt from state law or policy, you must follow the order of precedence.
The first tier of this order is mandatory statewide contracts.
This means that if the goods or services are available on a statewide contract, then you must buy them from one of the suppliers on that contract, unless you get a waiver.
There is no limit to how much you can spend, other than budgetary constraints, and your delegated purchasing authority doesn't apply. Please refer to statewide contracts on this website for more information, or to section 1.3 of the Georgia Procurement Manual.
