Insurance Services
Our Risk Management Services team manages the following insurance programs and services to assure protection of state assets:
Self-funded auto insurance program that covers state employees while driving on state business.
Provides cyberattack coverage, protocols, policies and claim reporting processes.
Self-funded liability insurance program that provides financial protection to state entities,
Property insurance for all state-owned building and personal property.
Assists state entities in the administration of state unemployment insurance and claims.
Monetary supplements for costs associated with job related injuries.
We also administer the Georgia State Indemnification Program, which provides work-related insurance coverage for public officers and school personnel and the Educators Professional Liability Insurance Program for state educators.
These programs work with you to mitigate loss, improve outcomes, and create value in your organization by assisting employees with occupational injuries and illnesses to return to full productivity on the job.

The Risk Management Services Director Designee for service of process for actions brought against the State and the Department of Administrative Services Designee for service of process for actions brought against DOAS is Gwen Middleton​, Executive Business Operations Manager.

Effective July 1, 2023, hours for Legal Service Acceptance for DOAS and Risk Management Services are:
- Monday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Tuesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
